Start With Your Item’s Instructions

Different yarn fibers require different care. If your Kerya Station item includes specific care instructions, always follow those first.

Washing

• Hand washing is the gentlest option for many crochet pieces.
• When machine washing is permitted, use cold water and a gentle cycle.
• Use a mild detergent.
• Avoid bleach unless your item’s specific fiber-care instructions say it is safe.
• Wash delicate pieces separately or in a laundry bag when appropriate.

Drying

Avoid excessive heat. When appropriate for the fiber, gently reshape the item and lay it flat to dry. Hanging a wet, heavy crochet garment can cause stretching.

Storage

Fold crochet garments and blankets neatly when possible. Store them clean and dry, away from anything that may snag the stitches. Avoid long-term hanging of heavier garments if it causes stretching.

Snags & Loose Ends

Please don’t pull or cut a snag without knowing where the yarn leads. Pulling can make the problem larger. If you’re unsure, contact Kerya Station and send a clear photo.

Pilling & Normal Wear

Some fibers naturally develop fuzz or small pills with friction and wear. This does not necessarily mean your item is damaged. Treat the fabric gently and avoid aggressive pulling or trimming.

Need a Repair?

Accidents happen. Kerya Station may be able to repair an item depending on the damage and whether matching yarn is available. Repair availability and pricing are determined case by case.
